Introducing ...The Coach |
 |
 |
 |
| Elena is a performance coach who works with business owners and senior
managers, actively helping them to fulfill their potential by contributing to the
growth and success of their business. Elena shares her coaching
knowledge and experience in every edition. This months focus is
on the fundamentals of a successful business. |
 |
| Business leaders need a long-term goal. Have one
yourself and stick to it ! |
 |
| For your business to thrive you need to have an ultimate goal, a plan of action to achieve it and a set of adequate measurement for success. No matter what stage of development your business is at, it is fundamental to the
success of your business that you know what your ultimate aim is,
to sell up?! or continue to work for another ten years?!. You need to plan and know your success routes. |
 |
Know your customer and
always, always put them
first
Who is your ideal customer? Who is
going to give you the sort of turnover
and profit your business needs to thrive?
No matter what the nature of
your business is, you need to know
what type of client you want to work
with.You can then
target your sales and
marketing efforts towards a small
proportion of your customer base to
maximise your profits. Once you have
gained the customers, provide them
with the quality of service they
expect. Ask them for and
value their opinion, make them feel part of your business' success and you will have obtained their loyalty. |
|
Grow your people and
they will grow your business
Having a committed, loyal
and happy workforce will give your
business the edge it needs to stand
out from the crowd and be the best.
Unless they all share your vision and have
common objectives
there may be a lack of productivity. To be happy and
productive your workforce need to
know they are being valued. They need to have ownership of
their role and understand the consequences of their actions or inactions on the business. By encouraging your staff to develop their potential it will help your team become one ensuring that your leadership, management and workforce achieve success. |
