Business Administration level 3

This qualification is aimed at individuals in a more senior administration role such as Senior Administrators and Supervisors with a degree of autonomy within their role.

On completion of the framework the candidate will receive the following qualifications:

> City and Guilds Level 3 Certificate in Business Administration
> OCR Level 3 NVQ in Business Administration
> Business Administration Modern Apprenticeship

Candidates must complete six units in total, from two mandatory units and four optional units. At least three optional units must be from optinal units group B.

> Plan, organise and support meeting
> Make a presentation
> Organise and coordinate events
> Word processing software
> Spreadsheet software
> Website software
> Artwork and imaging software
> Design and produce documents
> Plan and implement innovation and change
> Develop productive working relationships with
colleagues and stakeholders
> Provide leadership for your team
> Prepare text from notes
> Prepare text from shorthand
> Prepare text from recorded audio instructions

Delivery: an assessor will visit the candidate at their workplace at least once a month for a minimum of one hour. In addition to this, they will be set approximately 4 hours worth of work to complete before the next months meeting.

The Technical Certificate at Level 3 consists of 2 units and an online multiple choice test.

The aim of this unit is to provide the candidate with the knowledge to competently work as a senior business administrator within an organisation by having an understanding of its operation and functions, ensuring that laid down policies and procedures are being followed, organisational requirements are being met and ensuring that related legislation is being applied to maintain a healthy and safe working environment.

The aim of this unit is to provide the candidate with the knowledge to ensure work is effectively carried out within an organisation by planning and prioritising their work and the work of others, managing electronic and paper-based communication systems and by continuously improving themselves, other and wherever possible, the organisation.

Delivery: Candidates will be required to complete a comprehensive workbook and paper-based written assignment within their place of work which covers aspects of both units detailed above. Candidates will also be required to complete an online multiple choice test which also covers aspects of both units detailed above. The online test will be held monthly at t2 business solutions' Head Office.

Key Skills are a range of essential skills that are critical to succeed in the workplace today. There are two Key Skill areas (including Communications and Application of Number) which participants complete through a combination of work-based assessments and assignments.

Delivery: Key Skills will be completed during the assessor visits

The recommended time to complete the Modern Apprenticeship framework is 18 to 24 months.
