iTQ level 2

iTQ is based on a national framework of skills that covers the core range of everyday IT user skills.

What makes iTQ unique is that it recognises what's best in current qualifications. iTQ can be tailored to each organisation's needs and each learner's requirements and does not involve learning skills that won't be needed or used. Needs and requirements are assessed initially using an E-skills passport. iTQ can include any workplace specific systems (e.g. intranet) or even a Health & Safety module as part of the overall qualification.

On completion of the framework the candidate will recieve the following qualifications:

> OCR Level 2 iTQ
> Information Technology Foundation Modern Apprenticeship
> CLAIT + (optional)

In order to successfully complete the qualifications a learner must achieve units with a total points target of 130. The combined target of 130 points is separated into simulated Optional units to the value of 105 points and a Mandatory unit produced in the workplace worth 25 points:

Key Skills

Key Skills are a range of essential skills that are critical to succeed in the workplace today. There are two Key Skill areas (Communications and Application of Number) which participants complete through a combination of work-based assessments and assignments.

> Application of Number          (Level 1)
> Communications                     (Level 1)

Delivery: Key Skills will be completed during the assessor visits

Recommended Time on Framework

The recommended time to complete the iTQ is 18 to 24 months.
