t2’s Learner of the Quarter Announced

Laura Nicholson has been awarded t2’s Achiever of the Quarter award for her recent completion of a Level 2 Warehousing and Storage Modern Apprenticeship.

Laura, who completed her qualification at the end of April, works at Wilkinson’s Distribution Centre in Magor. Her responsibilities include picking stock to ensure correct and efficient delivery to stores, and maintaining a safe and clean workplace.

Laura said: “I took the Warehousing and Storage Modern Apprenticeship because I was interested in gaining a qualification directly tied to my job role. I motivated myself to complete the course by making a point of always completing work straight away. This prevented me getting de-motivated. It also helped that I really wanted to gain a qualification.”

“In order to make sure I was always on the right track to completing my course, I always double checked everything with my Personal Development Manager and, if in doubt, I reverted back to notes that he supplied me with.”

“During the course I enjoyed the Health and Safety section of the programme. This reflected on my role to maintain a safe and clean workplace.”

“I would not go on to do further learning at this time as I have achieved what I set out to do.”

“For others undertaking Modern Apprenticeships, I would advise that they never give up on their qualification, even if they feel stressed. It will benefit you in the end!”
