t2 Undertake ‘Cycleathon’ for Charity
t2 business solutions’ Sales and Marketing departments took part in a 6 ½ hour ‘cycleathon’ last Friday to raise a total £225 for Sport Relief.
Twelve team members completed a cycle marathon, cycling non-stop for 6 ½ hours for the Sport Relief charity. The challenge was to involve all members of both departments to cycle and gain sponsorship from their employees.
All t2 staff were also faced with the test of ‘dressing to impress’ for Sport Relief. The stipulations for this were to either wear a complete shellsuit, or a combination of shorts, leg warmers and a headband. Anyone who chose not to dress in this sports wear was fined.
The day was a great success, with the sales and marketing departments situated in the staff canteen for their cycling challenge and their colleagues cheering them on throughout the day.
Rob Marr, Managing Director of t2 business solutions said: “t2 always tries to do things for charity and Comic Relief is one of the charities that we like to do something for every year. Last year we raised over £200 and this year we wanted to not only raise another £200, but make sure we were doing something unusual to raise the money.”
“I would like to thank all t2’s employees for their generosity last week and congratulate everyone on raising so much money for such a valuable charity.”
Sport Relief ran from Friday 19th to Sunday 21st March, with the aim to get the whole of the UK together to get active, raise cash and change lives. All the money raised by the public is spent by Comic Relief to help transform the lives of poor and vulnerable people, both at home and across the world’s poorest countries.
