t2 Celebrate Another Year of Success

Fourteen years after the launch of t2, Rob Marr, Managing Director, reflects on recent success and what we can expect from 2010.

Rob Marr said: “It has been a fantastic journey over the past 14 years. We have grown from essentially being a three-man band into one of the UK’s largest independent training and coaching providers.

“We now employ nearly 100 staff and a client base including thousands of organisations. What I’m particularly proud of is that, despite the rapid growth, we haven’t compromised on the quality of delivery. We still maintain stringent standards and continue to score highly in all our client feedback.”

“The past year has included the launch of a very successful high end leadership programme, which runs nationwide and helps company directors and senior managers gain leadership skills and gain the highest level ILM qualification available.”

“There has also been a huge push at our Newport based training centre, which focuses on developing the skills of unemployed youths and adults and helping them to find work placements. This has benefited local companies as they now have the option to hire trained individuals, which is imperative in the current economic climate.”

“Our vocational training continues to go from strength to strength. Originally our main area of expertise, vocational training in Wales, is now delivered to thousands of individuals every year. Our English contract, which launched in 2008, has already helped hundreds of organisations develop their staff.”

“t2’s coaching programmes have also developed and have had a successful impact on the organisations we have delivered to. We now offer not only one-on-one coaching, but Business, Executive, Sales, Pairs and Team coaching. Our Consulting and Coaching produces great results for individuals and businesses.”

“2010 promises to be another exciting year for the training and development sector. Coaching and professional development is set to remain high on the agenda and already we have seen a surge in businesses recognising the importance of leadership training and staff development.”

“In the current economic climate, leadership skills are vital to run organisations and manage individuals. This can often be compromised by the cost of training, which is why we are always strengthening our relationships with funding organisations, such as the Welsh Assembly Government and Skills Funding Agency, to offer funding to businesses wherever possible. We will continue to offer leaders and their employees’ affordable training throughout 2010 and in the future."

t2 business solutions was established as Training 2000 Wales in 1996 by the Marr family. It started life as a training provider specialising in vocational qualifications for school leavers in Newport. It has since diversified and now offers a range of top end training and coaching programmes for business throughout the UK, with a focus on providing bespoke solutions to companies’ needs that deliver quantifiable value. Current clients include HBOS, Companies House, Wilkinsons, Cardiff and Vale LHB, Adler, London Eye and Spire Hospitals.
