t2 appoint HR Director

Training and coaching provider t2 business solutions has appointed a new HR Director to lead and drive the HR agenda into the changing future.

Julie Purnell from Newport has worked in a variety of HR roles for 21 years.

Following early years in the personnel department at Newport City Council, Julie spent the last 19 years heading up HR teams at ITV Broadcasting within the news and regional programming divisions of ITV Wales, ITV West and ITV West country, based from main offices in Cardiff, Bristol and Plymouth.

Julie obtained her IPD Graduateship in 1994 and a Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management from the University of Wales in 1996 and is also an employment advisor to two charities based in Bristol that manage moving image installations and opportunities for disabled artists.

Julie left ITV in September 2009 and was travelling until she joined t2 on 27th April 2010.

Speaking about her appointment Julie said: “I am really pleased to be part of t2, an organisation that focuses on training and developing people to reach their potential. My new role will enable me to use all my experience to help t2’s Directors lead and manage a growing and changing organisation and to face future challenges positively. It will also enable me to work with training and coaching specialists. “
