t2 Achiever of the Quarter Announced
t2 awards Achiever of the Quarter to one candidate who has shown exemplary hard work and determination to complete their Modern Apprenticeship.
Congratulations to Robert Harris who has been named as t2’s Achiever of the Quarter for February – April 2009.
Having recently completed Institute of Leadership and Management Level Five and in the process of completing a National Vocational Certificate Level Four, Robert will soon have a Level Four Modern Apprenticeship in Management under his belt.
Working for Vale of Glamorgan Council’s Wenvoe Depot, Robert is the Street Lighting Manager. His responsibilities are to manage the street lighting service provision for the Council, which entails the overall management of office and site–based staff including all financial, health and safety and performance monitoring aspects.
Robert said: “I undertook the course because I wanted to enhance my management skills and knowledge as part of my overall personal development. The thought of obtaining the ILM Level 5 and NVQ Level 4 accreditation was the driving force behind my desire to complete the course.
“To ensure I was on the right track to completing my qualification, I allowed myself personal study time and conditioned myself to producing the assignments as per the completion date to make sure I was on the right track to completing my qualification within the required timeframe.
“I will definitely go on to further learning with the t2 and ILM. At present I am in the process of undertaking a CMS Management course with the University of Glamorgan, which I thoroughly enjoy.
“To anybody who is taking a Modern Apprenticeship with t2 - Take the course serious and show respect for your tutors and fellow learners. Ensure that you dedicate the necessary time to complete your assignments and try to pro-actively collate as much top quality evidence as possible for your NVQ portfolio.” Added Robert.
Rob Marr, Managing Director of t2 business solutions said: “Robert worked extremely hard to complete his Modern Apprenticeship, and his determination and self-motivation earned him the t2’s Achiever of the Quarter title. t2 wishes Robert the best of luck with any further qualifications he undertakes and hope to train with him again in the future.”
