t2 & Wilkinson celebrate learner’s achievement

Over 20 employees from Wilkinson recently attended an awards ceremony to celebrate their achievements following their successful participation in training programmes. They were presented with their certificates, which recognised their achievements, by Kevin Alan, Senior Distribution Centre Manager at Wilkinson and Shian Pope, t2 business solutions Account Manager for Wilkinson.

The majority of the employees had successfully completed the Distribution and Warehousing Modern Apprenticeship.

Speaking at the awards ceremony, Kevin Alan said “We are very proud of our staff and their achievements and grateful to all those who have helped and supported them during their training. Everyone here today gave up the time to complete their training and have worked hard to earn their certificates, it’s a great achievement.”

Shian Pope, t2 Account Manager for Wilkinson said “Today is a great day for everyone involved, both at t2 and Wilkinson. Many of the learners here today are really keen to continue their learning with t2 and we are going through all of the different options we offer such as different Modern Apprenticeships and individual training courses, to help them progress even further.”

Craig Milgate, Training Manager at Wilkinson said “All of the learners have really progressed. We have seen them develop and overcome many trials and tribulations to get here. Today sets a benchmark for what other learners within Wilkinson should aim towards and shows how well we and t2 are working together”

The Modern Apprenticeship for Distribution & Warehousing, which the majority of the employees obtained, is specifically targeted at individuals who deal with the handling and storing of goods within a commercial, industrial warehouse or freight facility. It has allowed the employees at Wilkinson to demonstrate a broader range of skills, taking into account planning, auditing and team development processes.

All of the Modern Apprenticeships available at t2 business solutions are designed for people who want to progress within their chosen area of employment. Modern Apprenticeships have been specially developed to provide a blended program of work-based learning and assessment, designed to equip the learner with the skills needed in order to progress and reach their full potential.

t2 business solutions are the largest Welsh provider of work-based Modern Apprenticeships and are currently working with 1,600 individuals at over 400 private and public sector organisations all over Wales. Their clients include: HBOS, Wilkinson, Cardiff & Vale NHS Trust, Companies House and Princes Soft Drinks.
