Robert Marr, managing director of t2 business solutions, looks at what we can expect from 2006...
2006 promises to be another exciting year for the training and development sector. Coaching and professional development is set to remain high on the agenda and already we have seen a surge in businesses recognising the importance of management training and professional development.
Job roles are changing as businesses mature and so staff retention is an important issue as ever for many employers. Training providers should now quantify the benefits of training in terms of how much it is worth to the bottom line of their clients’ business.
Over the past years, we have consolidated our reputation as one of the key players in the South Wales training and development market, and will be concentrating efforts on closely integrating training with coaching and offering a wider business support package from 2006 onwards. In particular we have developed bespoke training and coaching solutions to include a mixture of personal development and group training sessions.
In 2006 we will be rolling out a fully-funded general business advice service to SMEs in South East Wales. This is part of a support programme funded by the WDA, the European Development Fund and ELWa, where we help SMEs boost their growth potential, add value to their business and really be an extra pair of hands.
On a more local level, 2006 is not only our tenth anniversary but it marks our move to larger offices in St Mellons. It’s going to be an exciting year ahead.
